China launches Chang'e-6 lunar probe to retrieve samples from moon's far side

China on Friday launched its latest lunar probe, the Chang'e-6, aiming to bring back 2 kilograms of samples from the far side of the moon, for the first time in human history. The Chang'e-6 carries four international payloads and satellites, including a radon detector from France, a lunar surface negative ion analyzer from the European Space Agency, a laser angle reflector from Italy and a cube satellite from Pakistan.
